may god bless them... I hate this part in journalism..Tragic accidents,death and all related that could be avoided. Yesterday, 12 people whose lives were sadly cut short in a horrific crash involving an express bus, travelling from Malacca to the capital, which hit the guardrail and ploughed into five vehicles heading near Simpang Ampat in Seremban ( by the way, I am a graduate from UiTm Malacca which travel at the Simpang Ampat every week.)
The news is devastating to me.According to statistics,60-70 percent accidents happens because of the driver's fault. Ops Sikap 22 pointed that this year 16,817 accidents has occured but still, the number alone did not do any good. the number might decrease from The 21 Ops Sikap but we can decrease it more with better understanding on the safety issue in Malaysia.
Using handphones, drowsyness, distractions are all contributing factors to accidents. My opinion, whatever rules and regulation enforced by government wont work unless the driver themselves decided to change their attitude. the road safety issue had been on of the most talked about issue in malaysia.
